I shuffle my tarot cards and pull out the seven of Wands. What does this mean? Victory through courage. Success against opposition. At least, that’s according to Eden Gray’s “A Complete Guide to the Tarot”. According to Gray, this card means certain success.
I look into my crystal ball and see silver candlesticks. A table with a thick white tablecloth. White plates gleaming in the candlelight. Another scene of success, I think.
I don’t doubt that my future includes hard work and more financial precariousness than I currently face. It’s not fun to think about, but it seems certain. That said, I will still be alive and kicking in three years. My body will be healthy and strong; I’ll have a long life ahead of me. Success will be in the form of a stable, long-term job and an indie-published novel. It won’t be a lot, but I’ll be happy with it.
Even for me, it’s hard looking into the future. It makes my stomach wobble. I don’t doubt my divination tools or my intuition. I’m confident it will all work out as I say, but it’s not enjoyable to look down the path of your life and see it all laid out for you. There’s an uneasy feeling there, like looking at a bank statement when you know you’ve spent too much.
I’d much rather use my divination tools for other people. I give away free tarot readings. If you’re interested, hit me up.
