Arin Murphy-Hiscock, Spellcrafting

This year, I plan to develop my spell-writing abilities. I think Spellcrafting by Arin Murphy-Hiscock will help me learn the basics and give me the confidence to develop my own spells. Other books by Murphy-Hiscock also look tempting to me. Murphy-Hiscock is the author of The Green Witch and The House Witch.

Scott Cunningham, Magical Aromatherapy

I have always been interested in the sense of smell. I don’t wear perfume anymore because other people can be allergic/sensitive, but I would love to get into aromatherapy for myself. Whether its essential oils and a diffuser or with whole ingredients in the kitchen, I would love to experiment with smells. Hopefully, Magical Aromatherapy will give me the keys.

Richard Webster, Astral Travel for Beginners

The tagline of this book is ‘Transcend Time and Space with Out-of-Body Experiences’, and that’s exactly what I want to do. Transcend time and space? Sounds grand and romantic, doesn’t it? Whether it’s literally floating around on the Moon, or just getting deeper into the world of the imagination, I definitely want to deepen my knowledge of this subject.

Gilly Sergiev, 5 Easy Steps to Becoming a Witch

This would be a re-read to me. It’s a simple, entry-level book, but I still consider it to be a classic. I re-read it from time to time to spark my imagination and remind myself of the magick I fell in love with as a teenager. I love this book and hold it close to my heart. (Thumbs up, strongly recommend.)

Linda Williamson, Contacting the Spirit World

A while ago I had a dream that told me to get into mediumship and spirit communication. There’s a difference between psychics and mediums, and I have always been in the strictly psychic category. I’m a scryer. Becoming a medium would be like entering a completely different world (haha, literally). Contacting the Spirit World should be a good introduction for me. I’ll let you know how it goes.

So, those are five books I would like to read. I’m not sure when I’ll get around to them. It seems I have less and less free time these days for my magickal studies. Maybe this blog post is a sign to start making time. Maybe I’ll come back and review some of these books.

So, let me know, which magickal/psychic books do you want to read? Tell me in the comments.
